Pocket Sharp MT vs moBlog

So, obviously the other post went through! Woohoo!

For ease of use, I recommend Pocket Sharp. It’s quick to open, quick to save, and also posting to your server. I use Wordpress for 2/3 of my blogs. I use Blogger on another blog for another purpose.

However, PocketSharp only supports posting to one blog. I chose to use it for this blog as I knew the location of the xmlrpc.php file. I’m not sure if this software would work with Blogger.

MoBlog states that it supports Blogger, however, I have yet to get it to work. The posts just do not go through.

I’ve tried Mobile GBlogger to no success. That didn’t work what-so-ever. I even tried logging onto the Blogger web page on my mobile….nope. I’m wondering if Blogger is mobile friendly….

Processor speed, again, I am very pleased with Pocket Sharp. MoBlog was slower and at times could be frustrating, but it works.

Where speed has the advantage with Pocket Sharp; MoBlog has the advantage with multiple blogs.

Because I don’t post to my third blog mobilly (<- is that a word?) I’m choosing Pocket Sharp over MoBlog.

Cheers!!

Testing..

Testing posting from a new software I found called Pocket SharpMT 3.3. If this works, I’ll be posting a lot more!!

Axim x50v

Hello!
Its been a while since I posted to you, but I wanted to explore my new toy!! My Dell Axim x50v.

Lets see if posting from my blog program works. I’m using moblog….

Hopefully, we’ll see each other soon!

Color choosing websites and software.

If you’re looking for a quick color selection in hexadecimal coding for your website, blog, what have you. Visit4096 Color Wheel Version 2.1 to get your codes and a visual of the color selection.

If you’re looking for a downloadable color picker program, this free one could be what you are looking for. This program is called Colorpic. Ever tried using a color picker on a high resolution monitor? It’s impossible. That’s why this color picker has a magnifier attached. Grab palettes of up to 16 colors at once and use four advanced color mixers to select a spectrum of possibilities.

My Favorite source for color picking so far is this Wiki Link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_colors. If anyone knows of a document that has this range of colors (such as a pdf), please let me know.

Windows Live Writer Portable

As seen on the blog: TechLifeBlogged
Windows Live Writer Portable 2.0 Now with U3

This past February I posted a launcher for Windows Live Writer so that you can take it with your between computers and retain all your settings. Today I am releasing version 2.0 of the Launcher. Much has changed with Windows Live Writer and I have learned some new techniques for making it portable. This is a much cleaner implementation and it plays better with Windows Vista.

Additionally, this version will work with U3. U3 is a software launcher that is built by SanDisk and comes on most (if not all) of their latest USB sticks. You can read more about U3 at SanDisk. The U3 installation is just a little different and I have provided instructions for that as well. Don’t worry if you do not have U3. It will work either way.

Below is an outline for how to get the application to work. Unfortunately, if you were a previous user there is no clean upgrade path. The latest Windows Live Writer uses different registry keys and files. I recommend copying the old directory structure off your USB device and then deleting it from the device. Then do a clean install using

This zip file does NOT contain everything you need to run Windows Live Writer. This is simply a launcher which will run Windows Live Writer in a self contained environment so you can take everything with you between computers via your USB memory device.

RIP Nanny C

So, I hate funerals. I’m sure that there are none too many that do like them. That… would be weird. However. I really hate them when the family of the deceased is divided. And by divided I mean not only is there a white line down the middle, there is a whole 25 foot brick wall down the middle.

My father’s mother has recently passed on. (RIP, Nanny) Half of the family has not spoken to the other half in years. There are 7 living (out of 8.) children and its 3 against 4. The funeral was yesterday and of course, I blubbered like the emotional fool I am. I have not seen my grandmother or grandfather in 5 years, but they are still my grandparents and I do love and respect them.

My father spoke to my grandfather, which was good. The other 4 aunts/uncles did not say boo to any of us, but we got some stares and twisted looks. Oh well. I hope their faces freeze.

My aunt spoke to her two daughters (she has 3 daughters & 2 sons) that she has not spoken to in years. Which was good.

All in all, it was a sad even all around, but nothing bad came out of it like I expected. I half expected for the other 4 to feel they were superior and try to kick us out. Nope, they just kept to themselves. Good. Didn’t want to talk to them anyway.
